Hi, I’m Dian Akbas.

I believe books do more than tell stories. They help us understand people, places, and cultures beyond our own.

For more than 10 years, I have worked as a writer and editor across children’s books, travel, business, education, and language learning. I have created 27 books, anthology, editing projects and 14 e-books in Indonesian, Turkish, and English. My work has been published in Indonesia and abroad.

I also teach Turkish to people who share my curiosity about Türkiye. Whether I am writing, editing, or teaching, my purpose is the same: to bring cultures closer through words.

After living in Türkiye for more than 20 years, Turkish language and culture have become an important part of my life. Through writing, translation, and teaching, I hope to make Türkiye and its culture more accessible to Indonesian audiences.

My Approach

Through Language

I teach Turkish not only as a language, but as a way to understand the people, culture, and everyday life behind it.

Through Stories

Through books and translation, I share stories that bring Turkish history, places, and culture closer to Indonesian readers.
